cabin fever

Over Christmas break Cass and Ty had the wonderful idea of going to our cabin. It was surprisingly warm the first day, but the last two days were extremely frigid. We did the usual cabin winter activities, ate, read, watched movies, played music, games, sledding, walked across the lake, cross country skiing, took naps, drank hot coco, built fires, and so on. As always it was nice to unplug from my cell phone and enjoy good company, in a beautiful place.

Until next time, cabin!

Middle of the Mountains

I went to my cabin for the last part of fall break with some of my family and a few members of the Cope familia. It was just the little getaway I needed before going back to school.

Lincoln turned 18 and I can hardly believe it! He's a man, and the cutest one ever so I couldn't help posting 10 pictures of him.

Ella is a little flirt and she was loving Avery, or as she likes to call him- Ahvry.

I found 200 pictures like this on my phone. I saved a few for blackmail.

We were loving how fast we could take "selfies" with my new phone.

Before we left my dad needed help getting the cows rounded up so he could bring them home before it got to cold. My dad, Max, Lincoln and Tyler did a great job running around the entire meadow trying to get them to come towards the corral while me, Cass, Tessa, and Ella did a great job doing our assignment- staying behind the trailer and being really quiet.

Even though Tessa is terrfied of the cows she wanted to be out there doing what Max was doing so bad. She can't wait until she is 8 so she can have a shot at it.

Bryce Canyon Half & a Trip to the Cabin

The Frei family Summer cabin trip included tubing down the river, being chased by more cows, going to see the horses, running the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon, playing croquette, loving the rain storms, a good old fashioned game of horse shoes, arts and crafts, making tie die shirts, watching movies, napping, making waffle cone s'mores, play time with the nieces and nephews, learning about snakes, and loving being with my family in such a beautiful place. 'Til next Summer Panguitch Lake!
