Dallas was pretty amazing if I do say so myself. The trip included shopping, swimming, cookie baking with the kids, making little Ella warm up to me, a trip to the Dallas World Aquarium, watching Max play baseball, painting with Tessa.. that girl is pretty creative and artistic for a four year old. Playing intense games of Jenga with max, lots of hugs and kisses from the little ones (not from Cass and Ty hahah), running with Cass, movie nights, playing with homemade beach sand in the house (Cass is the coolest mom), a trip to Hurricane Harbor and going on all the scary rides with Max (that kid is braver than me!), all of the kids were in HEAVEN and so was I! Dance parties to Party in the USA with Tessa, pretending to be an evil robot who gains more power the more I sing and dance (yep, I will do anything for those babes), and more. It makes me sad that the next time I see them they are going to be even MORE grown up, especially Ella. My heart is bursting with love for that cute Torres family, and I can't wait to see them again. Please move to Utah! I will babysit for free and you would be making all of my dreams come true.
One of my favorite Ella moments: On our way home from Hurricane Harbor when she was all worn out and she had big alligator tears rolling down her cheeks. I gave her a big piece of watermelon and she shoved it in her mouth. She had her eyes closed and she kept sticking her hand out for me to give her more. She continued to keep eating the watermelon despite the fact that she was half alseep. She would drop some pieces in her car seat but still refused to open her eyes as she looked for the watermelon. It was pretty funny and cute. The poor girl was so tired and hungry she just wanted to enjoy the best of both worlds at the same time.
Something funny Tessa said: Me and Cass were making lunch and Tessa runs in the kitchen to inform us that "fart" means "toot". We laughed and told her she was right, but continued on with what we were doing. Max came into the kitchen shortly after and Tessa, in her really excited, squeaky mouse voice said "Come on Max, Let's go fart!!" Cass and I thought it was pretty funny, and told her how lady like she is ;)
Sweet little Max: One of the cutest things was when Max got to tell me the surprise (I already knew) that we would be going to Hurricane Harbor on Thursday. I acted waaaay surprised, thew him up in the air and all that jazz and he was pleased as peaches. He was so excited that he would talk about it every single day and ask me if I couldn't wait. He told me all about the black hole, his favorite ride. Everyday that we would go somewhere he would ask me to sit in the back seat in between him and Tessa. The day we were going to Hurricane Harbor I told him I was going to sit up front since it was a long drive so I didn't want us to be all squishy. He replied by saying "yeah, and since we're going to Hurricane Harbor today we don't need to talk about the rides anymore." I was able to go on all the slides with him, it was fun to see how he could hardly contain his excitement. He would jump up and down when we would walk and kind of shake his hands. I loved seeing that kid on his very own cloud nine.
Oh and another favorite moment of Max is when Tessa gave me a "package" which was just her feet placement chart for when she plays the violin. I said "what is this, your feet?" Something about that was really funny because he instantly fell off of his chair, had a bright red face, and could hardly breathe he was laughing so hard. Then he let out a little toot that he refuses to admit. I guess him and Tessa are at different stages, tooting isn't as cool to Max as it is to Tessa.
