As of Wednesday I am officially living in Salt Lake. I know I should be super excited about it, and I am, but the thought still brings tears to my eyes. Saying goodbye to my mom and dad was a lot more difficult then I had imagined! I'm definitely going to miss coming home to my actual home everyday, but I know that this change is going to be the best thing for me. Well anywhoosies now that you've heard my sob story I better let you know what I've been up to right? Right.
Last Weekend: On Friday I joined Kort, Ry, Jen, Steph, and a bunch of Ry's friends from Logan on a little trip to the fair. It was great, we made a solid attempt to ride the ferris wheel but unfortunately they cut the line off right before us so that was a bummer. We decided to go on the ride that is like a roller coaster but only with the upside down part over and over and over. I was really excited but just before it started I was thinking in my head how sketchy fair rides are. Right as the ride started I heard something and just before we went upside down I noticed that my seatbelt had come undone! I was FREAKING out. Of course it didn't cross my mind that the little seatbelt thing that I pulled down over my body was also locked, so in my mind I was going to DIE. I thought that the last sight I was going to see was the "punk rock" girls sitting across from me. They had a look of terror in their eyes as well because they probably thought I was going to fall on them which would be quite uncomfortable and probably ruin the ride for them. Maybe even the whole fair experience. Luckily me and Steph have super strength and were able to hold me in, even at the point of the ride where they held us upside down for what felt like 10 minutes. I was quite surprised when the ride was finally over that I was alive, but I was even more surprised when I went to push my seat up to find that it was locked. At least I was able to experience what it feels like to think that you are going to die. I do love a good rush ;) After that I went on the most sickening ride with Ry and Casey. We didn't even have to have tickets to get on because nobody was riding it and now I know why. I didn't throw up and I truly consider that an accomplishment. Looking back it doesn't sound like a very good night, but I'm telling you if your with the right people you can be rejected by a ride, "almost" die on one, and finally understand how people (Kortney) get sick on roller coasters , and still have a heck of a good time. I love my friends.
Saturday me, Ry, Kort, and the friends from Logan went to Zion's bright and early (or so we planned) to hike the narrows. Everyone gave me a hard time for wearing my brand new shoes but I didn't get any of the blisters that my old shoes gave me so I think I won with that one. It was a pretty chill hike, except for when I would feel competitive with Ry and we started running, chucking logs, jumping off rocks, you know stuff like that. I had some pretty funny falls while racing. Probably my best one was when I fell in a part of the water with a current and it was pulling me downstream and everyone thought I was doing it on purpose. After the hike Kort and I really wanted to go to the Pizza place in Zion's but the boys insisted we go to Jack in the Box. I guess it was cool that we got two tacos for a dollar but man you would have thought these boys had died and gone to heaven. I have never heard someone rave about a place let a lone Jack in the Box so much in my entire life. I couldn't help but "lol" while I was eating.
Tuesday I went to lunch with Hailee, Tori, and Jenna one last time before my move. I love hanging out with those angel faces and I'm going to miss our group texts for deciding where to go eat. Man we struggled. After lunch I hung out with Jenna all day and we went back to the high school to help Mrs. Kitchen get her classroom all cleaned and ready to go! It was bad enough going back but it didn't help that I had already gone back that morning to pick up my immunization records. Super senior times two! Later we all went to Katie Berry's wedding shower and got to meet her adorable fiance. I'm excited for my "older sis" to get married! After the shower Kort and I went and rode go kart's at Fiesta Fun and it was awesome/lame because we were the only people on the track. We even got an extra thirty seconds added to our because we flirted with the guy in charge and he said he had to "pull weeds." ha! After we danced to some Shania, took a picture (or 100) by the Jack in the box sign, and went to Dixie Rock and talked about life and probably disturbed all the couples. Sheesh, sorry we don't have love lives of our own! I would say my last few days in St. George were pretty great, being with my best friends and all!
Wednesday I moved up, cried my eyes out, unpacked, hung out with Tanner and Berk, was treated to Zupa's thanks to Tan, unpacked some more, and had a panic attack because my head touches the ceiling while I'm laying down. My bunk bed is really tall.
Thursday I walked around campus with Torill and a couple of friends. We met up with Tal, Nick, and their friend Hayden at The Pie. We weren't hungry so we didn't order anything but we ended up eating half of their pizza anyways. Hey thanks guys ;) After dinner Abbey Hafen (sooo glad she is up here) joined us and we went to the Iron & Wine concert and met up with JESSICA, ALEXA, BEKAH, JUNIOR AND GARRETT (all in caps because I was so happy to see them and it made me feel 100% happier to be "up North" and I love them all more then I can even tell you)!!! The concert was pretty fun and since he was playing a lot of his new songs we came up with some pretty great jazzy dance moves. Seriously, they were awesome. Now I'm up in Ogden with Torill and we are heading to our families ranch to spread my uncle Rocky's ashes and to celebrate my aunt Gretchen's birthday as well, and guess who is coming.....MY FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOO!!!! YEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! YIPPPEEEEE!!!!! HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!!!! Sorry I couldn't help that little celebration.

P.S. Lincoln just called me to ask where the garage door opener is and I told him I will never tell him because the garage will always be mine to park in and I made sure he put his dishes away and cleaned his room and the bathroom. I was only half kidding ;)
