Sometime in the eternities to come, we will see that our trials were
calculated to cause us to turn to our Heavenly Father for strength and
support. Any affliction or suffering we are called upon to bear may be
directed to give us experience, refinement, and perfection."

I just want to give a little shout out to my ma and pa. My heart is aching to be near them more than ever right now, so thankfully I'm going home tomorrow. I have seen them go through a whole lot of trials in just my life time and every single time they have faced them with a positive attitude. I haven't been able to talk to them much since the flood because they've been busy, but the few times I have spoken to them they've been so up beat, and positive. Even though this is a major devastation for them they are still concerned for others, and looking towards the future. Whenever someone finds out that Nick and Liisa Frei are my parents they always inform me of how awesome they are. Not that I haven't always agreed with them, but this week they have proven themselves even more to me. Mom and Dad, you two have taught me more by your example than you'll ever know. Way to keep your sense of humor and caring spirit alive during this stressful time! And way to look totally awesome on T.V. You've made all your kids proud. I love you so much, and I can't wait to give you a both a big hug tomorrow. xoxoxo
you're a sweetie, you know? my mom thinks your dad is awesome. i don't really think she knows your ma. but she totally had a crush on nick growing up! haha. funny. anyway, i wish we could be down there to help out too. i hope things keep getting better. your family is so good.
