School has been cramping my style in pretty much every area of my life, including keeping up on my blog. But now that it's Summer (eeeeek it's SUMMER!!!!!) stress levels are down & I actually have time to write something that isn't in EspaƱol, or about teaching. It's amazing how much better writing is when it is done by choice. It's much more fun when I can align my paragraph in the center and include WORDS IN ALL CAPS JUST BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT. Or when I can use 10 explanation marks to express my feelings. Even though all I've really been up to the last couple of months is school & work & more school I like to pretend I did a few other things.
Bailey came to town to go Apartment hunting with me because we're going to be roommates! It wasn't very successful because as it turns out most leasing offices aren't open on Saturdays. It was okay though because Tori was in Salt Lake too so we needed to treat ourselves to Red Iguana. Tor and Baye are my chips & salsa girls 4 evva evva so it was fitting.
I went home Easter weekend! Besides driving through during Spring Break I hadn't been home since January so needless to say it was amaze balls. I was only home for a day & a half but it was cool to hang out with my family & visit my Grandma. It was especially good to hang out with my friends! For some reason every time I go home I don't get to see them, but we made sure that was not the case this time around. Kortney introduced me to this place called true berry (or something like that) & it was fantastic! The owner even let us go back and see how it is made. Thanks for the hook ups kort ;) We also found these awesome "bluetooths" at the dollar store & we got a kick out of them. #nomoredistracteddriving
I went to conference (in the tabernacle) with Kenzi, Nicole, and two of her friends. Kenzi & I found ourselves in the Ensign! I mean we talk about becoming Mormon movie-movie stars all the time, but I didn't expect to have a paparazzi this soon. It's only the top of my head but it's a start ;)
Friday is my favorite day of work. It's always a laid back day since the boys don't usually have homework on the weekends so I get to play with their little sister Kylie. She is so stinking sweet it makes my heart melt. She adores me and makes it known. Anywhoosies we were playing outside and I told her to go grab a soccer ball. She couldn't find one so she grabbed a football instead. I taught her how to throw & I swear she learned how to throw a perfect spiral on her third try! She was also able to catch the ball, & I only hit her in the head once. I was so proud of her I couldn't help but make a big deal of it which she looooved.
Bekah came up for the Grand Kerfuffle at the U (basically just a free concert with lots of booths). We went to Curry Fried Chicken for dinner and ATE IT UP, literally. It was so tasty! Awol Nation was playing & we didn't love them, but we sure had fun making our own T-shirts and playing in the photobooth. Man, those things are stressful?? Later we tried Sammy's but we kind of failed on our order so we weren't stoked about it.
I saw an early viewing of Monsters University for FREE! Being a student rocks. It was so funny so I'll being seeing it again when it comes out in June. Maybe even before it hits the dollar theater ;)
Katie, Kathy, & Kenzie bought Chinese lanterns for all of our friends to decorate & set into the sky as our last little hoorah. It was one of my favorite nights in SLC. The lanterns were huge so me Kenz & Nicole teamed up. We wrote all of our favorite lyrics all over our lantern and it looked so fine. We also had a lantern that everyone filled up with things they wanted to let go of. We literally almost caught a tree, a building, and a head on fire. I am not even exaggerating. It was the perfect combination of stress and magic ;) We made a late night run to Betos, and stayed up into the wee hours of the night playing a creep video game Patrick introduced to us. Such a good way to spend our last night together.
I saw this pup at Liberty Park the other day & I think I have to have it right now.
I survived finals week and celebrated by driving up to Ogden to see Torill the day she got home from Peru! For the most part we didn't leave each others side for the next 3 days. We went & saw the movie Safe Haven & just about died over Josh Duhamel & Julianne Hough. Josh is my new celeb crush since Cory is in rehab. Let's not forget that Talia & Nick got engaged too..it's about time ;)

I went to breakfast with Brynne since she is back in Salt Lake (best thing ever)! We tried out Pigs & a Jelly Jar. It was no Park Cafe, but it was pretty delish.
I saw Iron Man & Loved it! I am digging the fact that I am going to movies again!
I went to Brynne's baby shower last night and it got me really excited for that small fry to be born! Also you should see that Brynne Frei. She is the cutest pregnant person I ever did see.
