On our last day in California we did a plethora of fun activities. We started our morning out by going to this great breakfast sandwich place called Eggslut. We went there because of it's not-gross name ;) It was in downtown LA and the environment was pretty cool. After breakfast we walked to a park that is supposed to be the LA version of Central Park. It was just a patch of grass, but I guess in the middle of the city it's the closest thing they have to a park. After the park we went to the pinata district so Brynne could get stuff for Tanner's graduation party, and Morrie's birthday party. It felt like we were in Tijuana.
We spent the rest of the day at Ocean Park. Tyler and I got there quite a bit before everyone else so we played in the ocean and hung out on the beach while we waited. The beach is my favorite place and I was in heaven. Tanner and Brynne arrived a little later and we watched Morrie on the beach while Tan taught Brynne how to surf!! I was so impressed by her bravery and endurance! I would have been wiped out (literally) after a couple of runs. I loved watching Morrie but unfortunately it seemed like he liked Tyler more than me! I really need to have another bonding moment with him so I can win him over again. When Tyler ran back to our parking meter to put more quarters in Morris was so concerned and wouldn't stop looking for him.
We stayed for a while after everyone left and then rushed home to shower and get ready for dinner before the missionaries were scheduled to have dinner at their apartment. Tyler and I decided we wanted to go out to eat since it was our last night in Cali and we took the recommendation of El Torito by the water in Marina Del Ray. I tried the fish tacos and really loved them, and I can't remember what Ty got, but it came on a skillet and tasted real good. We were so starving when we were driving to dinner so we made plans to stop at McDonalds after dinner. I also kept saying that I needed all of the food. It was getting out of hand but thank goodness for the waitress who brought us our own bowls of chips and salsa! Oh and by the way--we didn't stop at McDonalds on our way home. We were able to walk around Marina Del Ray for a little while after dinner which I loved. As we were walking around I remembered that I kayaked there a few years ago, and now looking back I'm a little mad I didn't take at least one picture.
After we got home I was the lamest and fell asleep while we were watching 24. I woke up and Tanner and Brynne were asleep, and Tyler was getting ready for bed. I felt so so so bad because I swear I kept doing that to him the entire trip. We woke up and left the next morning--but not before stoping at Primo's donuts and going crazy over the buttermilk donut. Holy cow. That's all I can say. We also decided to stop in Primm on our way home to ride the roller coaster at Buffalo Bills. It was Tyler's idea which thrilled me because I suggest that to my friends every time we go to Cali but we never end up doing it. I was starting to get sick so I slept at least half of the drive home, and Tyler drove the entire way. What a saint! I loved this California trip so much, and I really am already trying to scheme up a way I can go back to Disneyland and the beach after I move back from Ireland.
Disneyland hangover.
Tyler found his twin in the form of a pinata!
The coolest pinata Brynnie got for Tanners graduation party.
I tried really hard to get a selfie with Morrie but he only cared about my hat.

You are such a b-a-b-e. I felt really sad when I realized we won't be in LA when you get back from Ireland to be your excuse for going to Disneyland. But am happy you'll be back up here and am praying you'll sleep over so we can still be best gfs.
