state rugby, ogden marathon, goodbye's, and more

Lincoln's rugby team was playing in the State Championship game at the U this weekend, and Jordan and Cass were running the Ogden marathon so I decided to be a supportive sister and go cheer them on. I drove up Thursday afternoon and had a great time letting Patrick third wheel with me and Torill all evening and night ;)

On Friday Torill and I met up with Tal for lunch and it was so lovely spending time with those two sisters. I'm pretty lucky that two of the best pals I'll ever have are my cousins. Later that afternoon Torill and I tried to find a dress for me to wear to my brothers wedding, but we had no such luck (thankfully Brynne saved the day and found me a bunch of great options online). That evening me Tor, Tal, and Berk met up with my dad to watch Lincoln's game.

After the game my pops took us to Moochies for dinner and then Torill and I headed up to Ogden to hang with Tyler and Patrick. We went on a night hike, and hot tubbing afterwards. I was so happy I was able to hang out with my favorite foursome one last time before going our own ways.

I was supposed to be a marathon volunteer with Jon, Torill, and Patrick Saturday morning but when they woke me up at 5:30 AM I told them I was going to cheer at the finish line with my family, AKA sleep in. Cheering was a blast, and really made me want to get back into running again. Berk and I played a game where we would try and read the runners name on their bib to add to our words of encouragement. My favorite was when I read the name Kristi and was about to say, "good job, Kristi!" when someone yelled "Maddddddi!" I looked up and it was Kristi Taylor! Jordan and Cass both did a great job even though it was a hard marathon for them. My siblings always know how to impress me.

Lil was awesome and kept us all informed of where Jordan and Cass were on the course.
Tessa loves holding my hands and doing back flips. She also love pretending to be a cheerleader, and often tries to get me to go 'play cheerleaders' with her while at Max's sporting events. Don't worry I haven't caved yet ;)
Later that evening we all ventured over to the U of U to watch SC play in the State Championship game. It was an intense game and so fun to watch. They won which obviously made it even better!

I love watching Linc do the Haka.
Their faces in this picture.. I couldn't help myself ;)
This is the classic Ella grin.
SO PROUD.
Lincoln is the sweetest person.
Somehow Cass, Ty, Max, Jordan, and Moses didn't make it into the picture, but I promise they were there!

After the game I drove up to Kaysville to play cards with Tyler and his family. By the time I got there they were in the middle of a game so I helped Tyler, even though I know I was of no help at all since I didn't even know how to play the game. It was so funny listening to everyones comments while playing, and I am so happy they let me join in on their last night with Ty before his big move to Spain. After the game was over we went to Swig (terrible right?) and then hung out while Tyler got the rest of his stuff together. Saying goodbye was really sad but also very sweet, I mean if it had to happen. I miss that kid already. Okay I better stop typing or else I'm going to get sappy. So on that note--it was a great weekend!
