Hi there! I've been living in Ireland for almost a month now and I've decided it's time I say something about it. Life here is different than I imagined, but it's pretty incredible that this is my life. When Mandi asked me if I wanted to move over here with her family I didn't hesitate to say yes, and I definitely didn't think about the difficulties that come along with moving to a foreign country. There are a few challenges, but the more time I spend here the more I can appreciate living outside of my comfort zone. I miss having a social life and being near friends, but thankfully Mandi has been a great pal. I miss driving around and being able to get to places quickly, but it's pretty cool when I'm lying in bed at night and realize I walked 7 miles that day without even thinking about it. Sometimes I feel way too far from home, but that feeling is quickly replaced with the the thrill of knowing that I'm able to hop on a plane and see a completely different world so easily. It's a weird thing creating a new life in a new place. It seems like everyday I'm saying to myself, "Mads, this is your life!" I just still can't believe it, I guess. I feel like Ireland is exactly where I am supposed to be right now, and as the Irish may say, this is a brilliant opportunity.
Yay for blogging Maddi! I've missed ya. I'm so proud of you for being so brave and living it up. We're dying to see you sooo soon! Xoxo
